Tip of the Month: Custom Equipment in Equipment Lists

While you work within Equipment Lists, you may need to add specialized equipment data from an external source. This guide will help you create that custom data set in Tractor Zoom Pro so that it’s accessible to you and your team.

Create a custom data set

To get started, click your profile icon in the bottom left corner of Equipment Lists. In the pop-up window, select Custom Equipment Data.

Next, click the Add Equipment Data button, select the category and subcategory that best fits the equipment, and enter any of the available equipment details. 

Tip: We recommend leveraging the free-form description text box to input the data source, whether it’s a URL or a contact. This allows other users to reference the original data source for traceability and to vet/validate the data point.

Click Done to add the equipment as a list item.

Add custom equipment

To utilize the custom data set you entered into the system, select the piece of equipment in your equipment list. On the next screen, choose the Custom Data filter under Sale Type in the left panel. Then, add the relevant piece of equipment as a comparable.
